The video begins exactly on <Picture 1@Image1>: a letterpress proof on thick cream cotton rag paper with a visible deckle edge and coarse paper fibre, the large uppercase Caslon word "PROOF" printed across the centre in dense black ink and heavily debossed into the sheet with visible ink squeeze at the letter edges, a small line of metal type directly beneath it reading "72PT CASLON", a thin registration crosshair in the left margin and another in the right margin, and a narrow calibration bar of five squares stepping from solid black to pale grey along the bottom edge. The camera holds a static shot for the entire video and never moves, never rotates and never changes height. The paper, the deckle edge, the fibre texture, the warm even north-window light and the soft paper shadow remain identical throughout. From 00:01.000 the five letters of "PROOF" lift straight up off the page one at a time from left to right, each rising as a solid block of black ink about one centimetre clear of the paper and leaving behind its own empty debossed impression in the fibre. At 00:03.500 the five raised letters rotate flat and drift apart across the frame, turning and colliding softly like loose metal sorts on a stone. At 00:06.000 they begin travelling back toward the centre line, and a sixth letter block slides in from the right edge of the frame to join them. At 00:08.000 the six blocks settle into a single row and press down into the paper together, biting in with fresh ink squeeze at the edges, and lock as the correctly spelled uppercase Caslon word "PROVEN", evenly kerned, centred on exactly the same baseline the original word occupied. From 00:10.000 the shot holds absolutely still on the finished sheet. Throughout the entire video, the line "72PT CASLON" beneath the word must remain completely motionless, unchanged, correctly spelled and identical to <Picture 1> in position, size, weight, ink density and baseline; it must not lift, drift, re-kern, fade, duplicate or re-set at any point. The two registration crosshairs and the five-square calibration bar must likewise remain exactly as they are in <Picture 1>. The only words visible anywhere in the video are "PROOF", "PROVEN" and "72PT CASLON". Do not misspell any word. Do not add subtitles, captions, page numbers, printer marks, colour swatch names, dates, logos or a watermark. Do not add any other letters, numerals or punctuation. Do not re-render the image in 3D, do not smooth the paper fibre, do not clean up the ink texture, do not add a drop shadow and do not cut away. overall_soundscape: A quiet workshop room tone runs underneath the whole video. Each letter lifting from the page is a short dry paper release; the drifting blocks knock and clack against one another like lead sorts dropping into a composing stick.
